The Eastern Shore Area Agency on Aging/Community Action Agency, founded in 1973, is a community based non-profit organization committed to providing comprehensive and high-quality human services. Our qualified staff creates partnerships with families at all stages of life, offer integrated services that address their unique needs and link them with resources in our community. As both an Area Agency on Aging and a Community Action Agency, the agency is designed to operate a variety of programs for the residents of Accomack and Northampton Counties. ESAAA/CAA is a 501(3)(c) organization governed by an 18-member Board of Directors. The agency receives funding through the Older Americans Act, the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), the Department of Aging, United Way of Virginia Eastern Shore, and the local government. We aspire to be an increasingly valuable community asset that makes a positive difference in the lives of children, families, and the elderly.
